This is a term for a two wheel vehicle. It sometimes has a side car attached which has a third wheel. It is propelled by an internal combustion engine. A moped is a heavy duty bicycle equipped with an engine. Both of these vehicles are eligible for the Personal Auto Policy with the attachment of the Miscellaneous Type Vehicle endorsement. However, many insurance carriers’ underwriting guidelines will not allow a motorcycle, et al. to be added to the policy. They may also be insured on a separate Recreational Vehicle policy.
